MASHED POTATOES

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes are loaded with mellow garlic & fresh herbs and topped with a golden Parmesan crust for a perfect holiday side dish!

Let's make it!

Ingredients

*yukon gold potatoes *garlic *ground black pepper *whole milk *butter *Parmesan *fresh parsley  *other herbs, such as chives, dill, thyme, basil, etc.

Cook the potatoes.

Peel the potatoes and cut into chunks. Place in a large pot and bring to boil with salt & garlic cloves. Cook until very tender; drain.

Add ingredients.

Add milk, butter, salt, pepper, Parmesan and chopped herbs.

Mash & combine.

Mash with a potato masher until smooth and creamy.

Spread & sprinkle.

Spread the mashed potatoes in a baking dish. Evenly sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan.

Bake.

Bake until the mashed potatoes are hot and the Parmesan on top is golden.
