LEMON POUND CAKE

A soft and moist cake with a golden  exterior and a  tangy lemon glaze... and it's easy to make!

Let's make it!

Ingredients

*all-purpose flour *baking soda *salt *lemon zest *butter *sugar *eggs *sour cream *lemon juice *lemon extract

*powdered sugar *lemon juice

For the glaze:

Whisk together dry ingredients and lemon zest.

Whisk.

Cream butter and sugar and then beat until light and fluffy.

Cream.

Blend in the eggs, one at a time.

Blend.

Alternate adding dry ingredients and sour cream to batter.

Combine.

Blend in lemon juice and lemon extract.

Add.

Mix until ingredients are combined and pour into prepared pan.

Transfer.

Smooth the batter with a spatula and bake until golden.

Bake.

Make glaze.

Stir lemon juice into powdered sugar until completely smooth.

Drizzle.

Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake and allow to set.
