Wash and cut the zucchini into thick slices. Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet, then season the zucchini slices and brown on both sides.

Season marinara with fresh chopped herbs and pour over the zucchini in the skillet; bring to a simmer.
Simmer until zucchini is tender. Top with Parmesan and serve hot.
