• fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries • sugar • buttermilk • pure vanilla extract
In a blender or food processor, purée the blueberries. Strain the purée, then blend in the sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze.
Transfer sherbet to a pan, cover, and freeze again before serving.
