• dry elbow macaroni • butter • all-purpose flour • low-sodium chicken broth • sharp cheddar cheese • milk • Parmesan cheese • tomato paste • dry mustard powder • garlic powder • onion powder • salt + pepper • bacon
Boil and drain the macaroni, then set aside.

In a large pot, melt butter, whisk in flour, and then whisk in broth. Whisk and cook until sauce is smooth and thickened.
Remove pot from heat. Gradually add grated cheddar, stirring until completely melted and smooth before adding more.

Stir in milk, cooked macaroni, Parmesan, tomato paste, mustard powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve immediately with diced bacon sprinkled on top.
