Baked Banana Donuts are soft, sweet, easy to make, and lighter than fried, with your choice of a decadent chocolate glaze or a coating of cinnamon sugar!

Ingredients

• all-purpose flour • baking soda • salt • butter • sugar • egg • vanilla • mashed banana • Greek yogurt OR sour cream For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating: • sugar • ground cinnamon • butter For the Chocolate Glaze: • butter • light corn syrup • chocolate chips • pure vanilla extract

Whisk together the dry ingredients. In another bowl, beat the sugar into the butter, then blend in the egg, vanilla, mashed bananas, and yogurt. Mix in the dry ingredients.

Divide the batter between pepared donut pans.

Bake banana donuts for 7 to 9 minutes until the tops of the donuts spring back when lightly touched.

Allow banana donuts to cool for 5 minutes in pans before turning them out onto a cooling rack.

Coat the banana donuts in butter then cinnamon sugar, or melt and combine chocolate glaze ingredients in small saucepan and use for dipping.
