*butter *water *all-purpose flour *sugar *cinnamon *sour cream *eggs * vanilla extract *baking soda *salt *apples

FOR THE CAKE:

Ingredients

*butter *brown sugar *salt *half and half *powdered sugar *vanilla extract *flaked sea salt

FOR THE GLAZE:

Make the batter.

Melt butter in a pot; add water and bring to a boil. Remove pot from the heat and stir in the flour, sugar, cinnamon, sour cream, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, and salt.

Bake.

Fold in the diced apples. Pour the batter into prepared sheet pan and smooth the top. 

Make the glaze.

In a pot over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in the half-and-half, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Pour.

Immediately pour the glaze over the cooling cake and spread it into a thin, even layer. Allow the glaze to set before slicing.
