Ingredients

• Butter • Cornmeal • All-purpose Flour • Baking Powder • Salt • Buttermilk • Egg • Honey • Bacon • Grated Cheddar • Jalapeño

Whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

Blend in melted butter, buttermilk, egg, and honey.

Mix in diced bacon, shredded cheddar, and minced jalapeño.

Melt bacon grease (or butter) in a skillet in the oven. Pour cornbread batter into the center.

Bake and let cool before slicing and serving.
